Prescription Glasses
It’s not uncommon to have a little difficulty with your vision. People of all ages may have trouble seeing, especially as they grow older. If you find yourself frequently squinting to read or see objects clearly, if you get frequent headaches, or if you notice blurry vision, then you may benefit from prescription glasses.
The only way to know for certain if you need corrective eyewear is to schedule an eye exam with one of our optometrist. During an exam, the eye doctor will carefully evaluate your eyes and vision as well as review your medical history. If a vision problem is detected–such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism–your eye doctor can write you a prescription for eyeglasses that will help you see clear.
Sunglasses
In addition to prescription glasses, Omni Vision also offers prescription sunglasses. This is especially important for people who are very active outdoors, including athletes, construction crew members, and other workers who may not want to wear their regular glasses but still need vision correction to see properly. Of course, sunglasses are important for almost all outdoor use, even in people who do not require vision correction, since polarized lenses can protect the eyes from harmful UVA and UVB radiation from the sun.
Sports Glasses
National Eye Institute reports that eye injuries are the leading cause of blindness in children in the United States and most injuries occurring in school-aged children are sports-related. These injuries account for an estimated 100,000 physician visits per year at a cost of more than $175 million. Ninety percent of sports-related eye injuries can be avoided with the use of protective eyewear. Omni Vision in San Antonio, Texas provides sports glasses.
Safety Glasses
Protecting your vision and eye health is one of the most important things you can do to enhance your well-being. At Omni Vision our eye doctors offer prescription and non-prescription safety glasses to help our clients see safely and clearly no matter where life takes them.
